Reign of the Undead – Revolution

Mod Reign of the Undead – Revolution / Zombies

Reign of the Undead – Revolution is a modification for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and is a different and further developed variant of the famous Reign of the Undead mod. 2014

Présentation

Reign of the Undead – Revolution is a project by Luk [owner of the former LukServers Community] and 3aGl3 (joined 03.09.14).

The aim of it was to eliminate long-lasting bugs, make it actually look like a zombie survival mod, add new features and make quality-of-life changes.

Reign of the Undead – Revolution is based on the unfinished source code of Reign of the Undead 2.1 and NOT on the (later published) Open Source version of RotU.

Thanks to all these people who made it possible for RotU to be developed even further!

Map makers all over the world:
THANK YOU for constantly providing the playground for us players with new challenging designs and ideas! Please keep them coming.
You know what we would like to see more? Objective maps like mp_surv_trap! What would also be cool? If there is interest, I (Luk) would like to try to create dynamic rooms like in WaW where spawnpoints are unlocked as soon as a player pays xxx upgradepoints to unlock a new area of the map instead of having zombies run through barriers and walls and having to run all over the map.

Reign of the Undead – Revolution Alpha 0.7

Main features off the mod

Reign of the Undead is based on the Zombie mode from Call of Duty World at War and newer derivates of it, including several own interpretations and ideas. It made use of several custom models, weapons and classes.
Reign of the Undead-REVOLUTION took the original idea and fixed bugs, exchanged all custom zombie models with rips from WaW and newer Call of Duty versions that actually look like zombies, implemented or re-interpreted class abilites, further balanced out the weapons and difficulty, providing more configuration options than ever for hosts and a better experience overall.

It contains 19 zombie models, 5 classes, new sound effects, new visual effects, request and automated shouts from Battlefield 3, new guns, new turrets with new mechanics, new wave types, a new attack move for the boss with multiple twists, all new soundtrack, improved menus with more details and descriptions and more!

Reign of the Undead – Revolution

Reign of the Undead – Revolution is a modification for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and is a different and further developed variant of the famous Reign of the Undead mod.

RotU – short for Reign of the Undead – was a wave-based zombie survival mod that was influenced by the original zombie modes of Call of Duty World at War, Black Ops and newer ones. Different waves require different strategies and teamplay is a must.
RotU-Revolution – abbreviated as RotU-R – took the original and unfinished RotU 2.1 sources and implemented quality-of-life changes, bugfixes, more types of waves, a whole load of realistically looking zombie models, new teamplay elements, more weapons and more features!
